Scholarships Are Rolling In!

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to CHAD Senior Gabriel Perez!!! He is one of only 50 Philadelphia high school seniors to receive a Drexel University Liberty Scholarship!

Drexel University awards 50 Liberty Scholarships annually. Over 700 high school seniors applied for the 2019 class. Over 100 interviewed for the second round.

The total scholarship annual package is valued at over $70,000. Gabriel has been admitted into the Architecture program, which is a 6 year program at Drexel. That’s a total value of over $420,000!!!!

The Drexel Liberty Scholars program was established to continue Drexel University’s over 120-year tradition of providing quality education to Philadelphians without restrictions on religion, race, gender, or social class and to reaffirm Drexel’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and engaging with the communities that make up our city.

Through the Liberty Scholars program, Drexel provides 50 recent Philadelphia high school graduates with a renewable scholarship award that covers 100 percent of tuition and fees. Additionally, the program fosters student success through a dedicated faculty or staff mentor, a learning community in which all scholars live during their freshman year, extracurricular and developmental programming, and active engagement with campus life.

GO GABRIEL and GO DREXEL DRAGONS!!!!
